Specific Low Back Pain Exercises by Dr. Jordan Sudberg

Lower back exercise (hyperextensions) is a form of exercise that can be completed using machines. Or simply lying on your stomach and gradually lifting your chest off the ground. This exercise uses low back muscles to "hyperextend the spine.
"Good mornings" also serve as exercises to strengthen those muscles in the back of your legs. This workout requires the person to stand straight with their legs and shoulders wide apart using a broomstick. Or a weighted bar placed across shoulders. The patient slowly bends forward until their face is level with the floor before raising again. It's similar to stretching to meet the toes but there is a weight on the shoulders.
Physical Therapy for Low Back Pain Relief
Certain physical therapy facilities may also offer water (water) treatment. The body is supported by water and helps to reduce the effects of gravity. Lumbar tension

When Exercise Doesn't Work
Many times the spine specialists refer patients to physical therapy. The patients go back to the doctor. Stating that they have put off the therapy because it injured their backs or they weren't receiving sufficient relief from lower back pain in return for their efforts.
